ELECTRONIC TECHNICIAN ASSISTANT (ETA)
Communication & Interface Devices

DS8 - Discrete Summary Module
The DS8 summarizes up to 8 discrete alarm points and sends a single alarm signal to the controller when the number of alarms reaches a user-defined threshold. It’s great for grouping alarms that you want to distinguish in the field, but don’t need to distinguish on the central computer.
VC2700-STM - 2.7 Amp Voltage Converter
A versatile, snaptrack-mountable 2.7 amp voltage converter that converts 18 to 30 VAC to a regulated and adjustable output of 3 to 24 VDC or a fixed output of 5 or 15 VDC.

EA1 - 2 Position Actuator Interface
The EA1 simplifies the wiring and troubleshooting of “Belimo®” style two-position actuators with auxiliary switch position feedback. LEDs on the EA1 indicate when power is being supplied to the actuators and when they have reached their end states. The technician can now determine at a glance whether the actuators are in the positions specified by the controller.
LVTM - Line Voltage Transformer Module
The LVTM simplifies connecting an external transformer to the VC2700-STM Voltage Converter, described above.

TB4 & TB4-VC100 Modules
The TB4 and TB4-VC100 modules provide additional depluggable terminals for the VC2700 output voltage or an additional system voltage.
EA2 - Modulating Actuator Interface
The EA2 simplifies the wiring and troubleshooting of “Belimo®” actuators with voltage feedback. The technician no longer needs to gain physical access to the actuator to determine if it is in the correct position. The EA2 shows the actuator position based on the feedback signal, and with a push of a button, the EA2 shows the position that the controller is requesting.
COMBLK and TB18 Terminal Blocks
The COMBLK and TB18 are small circuit board terminal blocks that simplify the termination of wiring. The COMBLK contains four independent RS-485 circuits with three connectors - one for bus in, one for bus out and a third for wiring to the controller. The TB18 has pluggable terminal blocks for 9 pairs of wires.
SQ4 - Four-Step Sequencer
The SQ4 module simplifies the job of proportional control by sequencing multiple on-off devices based on a single analog output from the controller. Now items such as cooling towers with multiple two-speed fans or staged electric heat units can be  proportionally controlled.
3312VC - Voltage Converter
The RPTR and FOX ETA modules require 12VDC power. The 3312VC converts the 33 VDC from the PS17 or PS17CB power supplies into the 12 VDC required by the RPTR and FOX.
R49 - Relay Interface, 9 Output
In many HVAC systems, several tasks need to be performed simultaneously – for example, turn on an auxiliary supply fan, turn on an exhaust fan, open purge dampers and close return dampers. Rather than tying up four I/O spots on the controller to perform these tasks, the R49 conserves critical controller space by turning on or off up to nine relays using only one controller output.
RPTR - RS-485 Repeater
Standard RS-485 communications are limited to 32 unit loads and 4,000 feet. Extending the network beyond 32 unit loads or 4,000 feet requires repeaters. Each RPTR module allows an additional 32 unit loads or 4,000 feet.
RS-485 REPEATER KIT - provides all the functions for one repeater and remote RS-485 network.
OAM - Output Adjust Module
It is often necessary to move an actuator throughout its entire range of motion to troubleshoot the mechanical linkage. In DDC systems, this requires a laptop computer, communications interface and special software. However, an OAM in conjunction with an EA2 module allows you to stroke an actuator without additional equipment.
FOX - RS-485 Fiber Optic Transceiver
The FOX converts the RS-485 data from the controller to a fiber optic signal for transmission to other buildings. It also converts the fiber optic signal back into RS-485 for distribution to controller.
FOX Communcation KIT - provides all the functions for one fiber optic and remote RS-485 network.
CDSP - CO2 Sensor Power Supply
CO2 sensors require special voltages to operate and additional terminations to land the wiring. The extra power supplies, wiring and terminations can clutter up the control panel. The CDSP module removes the clutter by providing the power and terminations for up to three CO2 sensors.
RBP - Comm. Repeater Backplane
The RBP Backplane distributes power and communications and provides convenient mounting for the FOX and RPTR modules. Mixing/matching FOX and RPTR modules on the same RPB allows the 485 bus to be branched in the telephone equipment room or communications closet.
DS6R - Dry Switch Monitor
The DS6R module monitors six dry switch closure devices and provides one resistive output to the controller. Each switch closure subtracts a precise resistance from the output so a simple subtraction algorithm at the controller decodes which switches are set.
  SRBP - Single Repeater Backplane
Many times you need to place only one communications repeater at a specific point in a communications network. A four-position Communications Repeater Backplane (RBP), described above, is more than you need. The SRBP provides a convenient single repeater solution.
PMPB5 - Pulse Meter Pulse Buffer
Provides electrical isolation between the controller and the pulse output from electrical, water or gas meters.

TS1 & TS2 - Transient Suppressors
The TS1 & TS2 modules protect HVAC control systems from electrical transients (temporary excess voltage) from various sources.
COMSRG - Comm. Surge Protector
The transient protection on the communications terminals of DDC controllers is sometimes inadequate. Examples are roof mounted air handlers, pad mounted air conditioners or chillers – or anything else on the HVAC communications network but outside the building envelope. The COMSRG provides the extra protection to prevent damage.
BP2, BP4 or BP8 Backplane
The BP2, BP4 and BP8 Backplanes provide a convenient way to mount and power the BAPI ETA interface devices which helps cut down on control panel and control room clutter. Connectors on the face of each Backplane plug into mating connectors on the ETA modules.
TUCOM & BELCON Terminal Connectors
The TUCOM adds three pluggable screw terminals to the communications port of the Carrier® Comfort System zone controller to simplify wiring. The BELCON allows a four-pole pluggable connection between a peripheral and controller so you can quickly and safely disconnect the peripheral.
TURB - Terminal Unit Relay Board
The TURB - Terminal Unit Relay Board is an interface board that allows convenient interconnection between a Controller and a DX unit thermostat terminal block.
  Steel Enclosures
BAPI offers four styles of steel enclosures designed to accomodate ALL ETA devices, controllers and all related accessories.
PS17 & PS17CB - Power Supplies
Each PS17 or PS17CB provides up to six fused or breakered 33 VDC power supplies to operate any of the BAPI ETA modules except the FOX & RPTR RS-485 communication modules.
Backplates & Cable Guides
Backplates and cable guides designed to fit inside a steel enclosure and accomodate the ETA devices, controllers and all related accessories.
TRK18 Snaptrack and PAN16 Panduit
All good projects need a proper foundation and the ETA modules are no exception. The TRK18 - Snaptrack provides a sturdy, secure and easy mounting method for the ETA line. The PAN16 guides the wire to the ETA device, keeping clutter out of the control panel.
PLCON1 & 2 - PremierLink™ Connectors
The PLCON modules simplify the wiring of Carrier® “PremierLink™” rooftop controllers. The PLCON modules slip onto terminals on the controller circuit board and provide labeled, pluggable screw terminals for all I/O as well as a controller power on/off switch with pilot light.
