Who Says a Sensor Has to Look Like a Sensor?

With the versatile BAPI Decora Style Sensor, executive offices and high end residences no longer need to sacrifice aesthetics for great control and comfort. The Decora sensor uses the same modern wall plate cover as the rest of the switches and outlets in the room, so it simply blends in. It is also mounted flush to the wall and is less obtrusive than a traditional sensor.

Wireless Room Units now Available with Temp. Setpoint & Override

BAPI's award-winning wireless room temperature transmitters and temperature/humidity transmitters are now available with temperature setpoint slider and/or occupant override pushbutton. BAPI's ever-expanding wireless solution received an AHR Expo Innovation Award Honorable Mention in 2007 and 2008.

Field Selectable Differential Pressure Switch

The field-selectable Differential Pressure Switch is ideal for air filter monitoring, static pressure proving, airflow proving or auxiliary fan actuation. Because of its UL 353 listing, the switch can be used in safety circuits to protect heating appliances, heating systems, processessing systems and HVAC/R systems.

Thermobuffer Temperature Sensor for Coolers & Freezers
The air temperature inside a commercial walk-in cooler or freezer may not represent the temperature of the contents. During busy periods, when the door is opened and closed many times, the air temperature may be tens of degrees warmer than the contents. With a standard air temperature sensor, opening and closing the door will cause temperature reading spikes. This can lead to short cycling of the refrigeration equipment which is harmful to equipment and wastes energy and money. The BAPI Thermobuffer Temperature Sensor eliminates the “spikes” because it approximates the temperature of the contents of the cooler or freezer, rather than the air temperature.

Wireless Line receives 2nd AHR Expo Innovation Award
BAPI's expanded line of Wireless Temperature and/or Humidity sensors was awarded an Honorable Mention in the 2008 AHR Expo Innnovation Awards Competition in November. BAPI's initial line of wireless room sensors received an Honorable Mention in the 2007 AHR Expo Innnovation Awards Competition. The expanded line includes duct, immersion, outside air and remote sensors. BAPI's unique system extends the battery life of the wireless transmitter to 8 years while maintaining the in-building range of 100 to 150 feet, which led to the two awards.

Washdown Wall Plate Unit

With its non-protruding sensor and filter, and watertight stainless steel wall plate, this unit is perfect for Vivarium Animal Laboratories or other washdown or wipedown locations. It is available as a humidity sensor alone or as a combination temperature and humidity sensor. The unit is also available with a water resistant Pushbutton Override with or without LED indicator.

Snaptrack Mount Zone Pressure Sensor
BAPI's Zone Pressure Sensor is now available in a Snaptrack Mountable package (STM) which fits standard 2.75” snaptrack. Just like IP66-rated enclosure model, the snaptrack mountable sensor features 10 Field Selectable Pressure Ranges and 3 Field Selectable Outputs. The unit also has excellent accuracy, repeatability and stability – even at low pressures.

The BAPI-Box Enclosure
The BAPI-Box Enclosure is watertight and carries an IP66 rating which is similar to a NEMA 4X rating. It is made of high impact, UV-resistant polycarbonate and features a gasketed cover for a waterproof seal, a hinged cover to simplify installation, horizontal or vertical mounting with multiple knockouts and a window in the cover for an LCD display. The BAPI-Box Enclosure is available for the full line of BAPI duct, immersion, outside air and pressure sensors.

BAPI Commits to RoHS Compliance
BAPI has been working since early 2005 to remove environmentally harmful materials from our products and we support the European Union’s RoHS directive, which restricts the use of certain hazardous substances, such as lead and mercury. Even though many manufacturers of HVAC/R monitoring and control equipment are claiming exemption from RoHS compliance, BAPI is developing its new products and has revised current products to comply with the RoHS directive.

The BAPI-Guard™ Thermostat Protector
The BAPI-Guard prevents tampering, physical damage and unauthorized adjustment of thermostats. The attractive, low-profile design is available in two sizes to fit most thermostats. It is made of thick, durable polycarbonate and features exceptional airflow, key lock protection, horizontal or vertical mounting and easy installation with hardware included.

100 mA and 350 mA Voltage Converters
Joining BAPI's 75 mA voltage converter are two new models, a 100 mA and 350 mA version. All three voltage converters are a cost effective way of converting 24 VAC to 5, 15 or 24 VDC for use on peripheral devices that require DC voltage. All converters are very compact and designed to fit into standard 2.75" snaptrack.

The VC2700-STM -- 2.7 Amp Voltage Converter
The VC2700-STM is a 2.75" snaptrack-mountable 2.7 amp voltage converter. The unit takes a 24 VAC input and coverts it to a regulated and adjustable output of 3-24 VDC or a fixed output of 5 or 15 VDC.

Fiber Optic Transceiver (FOX) Communication Kit
The Fiber Optic Transceiver (FOX) Communication Kit provides all the functions for one fiber optic and remote RS-485 communications network, plus it comes in a self-contained, easy-to-apply and cost effective assembly.

RS-485 Repeater Communication Kit
RS-485 is the most common communications standard for DDC controllers; however, it is limited to 32 unit loads and 4,000 feet. Extending the network beyond this requires repeaters.
The RS-485 Repeater Communication Kit provides all the functions for one repeater and remote RS-485 network, plus it comes in a self-contained, easy-to-apply and cost effective assembly.

Total Pressure Probe Assembly
The Total Pressure Probe and Static Pressure Probe Assemblies connect to the BAPI Zone Pressure Sensor to provide duct static pressure or duct air velocity. The angled total probe faces into the airflow to sense the moving air’s total pressure while the static probe senses static pressure.

Carbon Monoxide Sensor
BAPI’s Carbon Monoxide Sensor offers enhanced, long life electrochemical sensing with outstanding accuracy at low concentrations. The sensor has a range of 1-100 PPM or 1-300 PPM of CO with a resolution of 1 PPM and a linear output of 4-20 mA. The unit also features a robust enclosure and is available with or without LCD display.

Electronic Technician Assistant (ETA)
BAPI’s Electronic Technician Assistant (ETA) products are a uniform line of interface and communication devices that compliment a DDC installation. They consolidate many of the components being used at present and provide a more complete picture of the system than a laptop computer alone.
The ETA line offers a number of benefits including simplifying the task of wiring and troubleshooting the system, cutting down on control panel clutter and providing additional feedback to the facilities manager and technician to keep the system performing at its optimum level.

BAPI-Stat 2 Enclosure
The BAPI-Stat 2 is a smaller version of the original BAPI-Stat. It is similar in size to the Delta Style Enclosure but with a larger LCD display and increased functionality. The BAPI-Stat 2 has all the features of the RµP Family rolled into one enclosure.

Pushbutton Override with LED
BAPI's Low Profile Pushbutton in now available with a Red or Green LED Indicator to provide a visual indication that the contoller has switched to the override status. No more pressing the button over and over again, wondering if the controller has received the override request. The Low Profile Pushbutton is water-resistant for washdown/wipedown applications.

Wall Plates with Rotary Setpoint Adjustment
The Rotary Setpoint is a linear adjustment that comes in various ranges, and is available as reverse or direct acting. A Setpoint Legend can be imprinted on the face of the Wall Plate. Standard Legends are “50 to 90 °F” or “+ to -”. The Rotary Setpoint Adjustment is available with all the Override Pushbuttons, a phono-style Communications Jack and a Pressure Pickup Port.

Outside Air Pressure Pickup Port
This port is an easy, economical and attractive way of measuring outdoor static pressure. The pickup port also helps stabilize pressure readings because it significantly reduces the pressure fluctuations caused by wind gusts. Available in wall mount or rooftop mount.

CE Compliant Humidity and Combination Room Units
Select models of BAPI's Delta Style humidity or combination Temp./humidity room units are now CE compliant.
