What is GLT Anwendertagung? The GLT user conference is the leading event for building management technology in German-speaking countries. For 36 years now, users of building management technology have met once a year to exchange experiences.

Buildings play a central role on the path to climate neutrality of the energy system: more efficient operation can achieve savings of up to 30%.

Forecasting methods and AI-based optimizations and analyses offer great potential for long-term sustainable operation. The large storage mass in the buildings also offers the possibility of active load shifting, so that consumption can be adapted to local renewable sources so that they are used more efficiently and, conversely, the load on the power grids is reduced. Here, too, AI-based forecasting tools offer enormous potential.

Since 2017, the Institute for Applied Research at the Stuttgart University of Applied Sciences has been working  on innovative solutions, methods and services for a livable, intelligent and sustainable city of the future, which is characterized by successful digitization, networking and efficient use of resources, as part of the iCity research partnership, which is funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research. The Stuttgart University of Applied Sciences is therefore delighted to be a host venue for the 36th GLT user conference, which is taking place under the general theme of “Artificial Intelligence in Building Automation”.
